We have fired the Glock 17 from many holsters including Fobus holsters, Safariland tactical holsters, and Bianchi holsters. We have not had any problems with the holsters, nor have we encountered any problems when we put the Streamlight TLR tactical lights on it. There are a lot of police gear accessories that can accomadate the Glock 17.
